Page 1 - These are pictures taken in February/March 2005 on the Jingpeng Line. All images were taken with a Canon 10D digital SLR and the raw files processed in Phase One software.
Pages 2 & 3 - These are pictures taken in November/December 2003 on the Jingpeng Line. Again all images were taken with a Canon 10D digital SLR and the raw files processed in Phase One software. Page 4 - These pictures were taken on a trip to the North East in March/April 1986. Unfortunately, it was a guided tour which meant too many shed visits and not enough linesiding! East Germany |
These pictures are from trips in 1980 and 1981. As far as I'm aware, East Germany was the only eastern block country where railway photography was not illegal, much to the surprise of some of the locals! |
West Germany |
These pictures are from my first venture abroad in 1969 to the northern part of West Germany.
At this time the DB had just introduced computerised numbers, although the programme had yet to be fully
implemented and it was possible to still see locos with pre-computer numbers. |
Poland |
These pictures are from a guided tour in September 1975 and was one of the first parties of western enthusiasts to legitimately photograph the railway system. Several members of this party made a private visit some months later and lasted 48 hours before being shown the door! |
South Africa |
These pictures are from a private trip in May 1983, covering most of the remaining steam lines in the Orange Free State and the Transvaal. |

These pictures are from trips undertaken in 1977 and 1984. |
